This 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS sport coupe is finished in white over aqua vinyl upholstery and powered by a 283ci V8 linked with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes power steering, a Viper remote starter and alarm system, glass-pack mufflers, and 14″ steel wheels with Hankook whitewall tires as well as a center console, front bucket seats, Pioneer speakers, and a glove compartment-mounted Pioneer stereo. The car reportedly spent time in Missouri before it was acquired by the seller in June 2023. This Impala SS is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a New York registration document.
The car left the factory finished in Ermine White (936) with a body-color roof. Exterior details include quad headlights, SS Impala badging, polished trim, an engine-turned aluminum tail panel, and chrome-finished bumpers. The seller notes etched marks on the hood and scratches on the chrome-finished bumpers, and photos showing blemishes are presented in the gallery.
Steel 14″ wheels wear SS-style covers and were reportedly mounted with 215/75 Hankook Optimo H724 thin-whitewall tires under current ownership, while a full-size spare is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by drums at all four corners.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in aqua vinyl, and engine-turned trim accents the dashboard. Features include a center console, polished door sills, lap belts, vent windows, Pioneer speakers, and a glove compartment-mounted Pioneer stereo. A Viper alarm with a remote starter and power door lock system has been installed. The seller notes that the air conditioning and the Delco radio are inoperative. The dashboard pad is said to have been replaced under prior ownership.
The two-spoke steering wheel carries a chrome horn ring, a sweeping 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel level gauge. Summit Racing oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges are located below the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 75 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 is topped with a two-barrel carburetor and features a black air cleaner assembly, Chevrolet-script valve covers, and an aluminum radiator. A replacement battery was installed under prior ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Per the seller, a dual exhaust system with glass-pack mufflers was installed under prior ownership.
