This 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS coupe is powered by a numbers-matching 427ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end. The car was delivered new to Holler Chevrolet of Winter Park, Florida, and it underwent a refurbishment completed in 2010 while under previous ownership, with work that is said to have included a repaint in blue, interior refresh, rebuilds of the powertrain, and more. Equipment includes bucket seats, air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM radio, front disc brakes, Cragar S/S wheels, and a Flowmaster exhaust system. Purchased by the seller in 2017, this Impala SS is now offered with copies of the build sheet, owner’s manuals, spare parts, period literature, and clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The body was originally Butternut Yellow (Y-Y), and it was repainted in Marina Blue under prior ownership according to the seller, who notes that the frame was refinished separately and the hood was subsequently refinished in 2020 following the removal of a rust bubble.
Close-up photos of the paintwork, vinyl top, badging, replacement bumpers, and other trim are included in the gallery below. Chrome Cragar S/S wheels are fitted with redline radial tires. Front disc brakes were added by a prior owner, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The interior features black upholstery (813) and a matching dashboard, console, and carpeting. Accessories include a floor console, a tilting steering column, air conditioning, and a Delco AM/FM radio. Power adjustability has been added to the driver seat, and the seller notes that the carpeting is worn and the shift boot exhibits a tear.
Instrumentation consists of a tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, supplementary gauges, and a five-digit odometer that shows approximately 46k miles, about 2,500 of which have been added by the seller. Actual mileage is unknown. The radio and the clock are inoperative.
The rebuilt 427ci Turbo-Jet V8 is topped with a four-barrel Quadrajet carburetor and was rated at 385 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent rearward through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end equipped with 3.55:1 gearing. The seller reportedly rebuilt the carburetor and changed the engine oil in spring 2020. The stock air cleaner is included in the sale.
Engine-block stamping 209733 matches the last six digits of the chassis identification plate, which is pictured in the gallery. Engine suffix IH indicates a manual-equipped L36 427ci V8 with a factory rating of 385 horsepower, and this example is reported to be one of 2,124 427-equipped Super Sport examples .
